Can I take your magnesium if I’m already taking other supplements that contain magnesium?Updated 21 days ago

Short answer: yes.

All forms of magnesium (including glycinate, citrate, oxide, and others) count toward your total daily magnesium intake. The difference between forms is how well they’re absorbed and how they’re tolerated, not whether they count.


Our Magnesium Glycinate provides 275 mg of elemental magnesium per serving (3 capsules). If you’re already taking other supplements that contain magnesium, you can still take ours. Many customers choose to adjust the number of capsules to stay within a comfortable daily range and see how their body responds.


Magnesium glycinate is considered safe and well tolerated, especially compared to other forms, because it’s bonded to glycine, which makes it gentler on the stomach. However, higher total magnesium intake may cause mild gastrointestinal discomfort or sleepiness in some individuals.
