Why does your Magnesium Glycinate have tapioca starch?Updated 15 days ago
We recently switched from microcrystalline cellulose to tapioca starch, which we see as a big win — it’s 100% natural and comes from the cassava root.
This is the only additive in our formula, and it’s essential for keeping the Magnesium Glycinate powder at the right consistency since it’s naturally very sticky. Without it, the product wouldn’t run smoothly through our manufacturing equipment.
Many other brands use multiple additives and fillers, but we focus on keeping our formula as clean and simple as possible.
It’s also important to note that adding tapioca starch doesn’t dilute or affect the concentration of Magnesium Glycinate in any way — you’re still getting the same pure, highly absorbable magnesium.
Just as a side note: vegetable cellulose is what we use for the capsule itself, and that part of the formula hasn’t changed.
